Basic Training

Duration : 2 hrs 
Maximum occupancy per seminar : 10

This seminar is aimed at people assigned to maritime facilities and who have few to no responsibilities in regard to security.

Target audience : Stevedores, administrative staff, IT, subcontractors, etc.

The Basic Training Course covers the following points :
  • Introduction
  • MARSEC Levels
  • Awareness and communication
  • Behavior of people at risk of threatening security
  • Emergency operations plan and Maritime security
  • Access control – Restricted areas
  • Role of key agents in maritime security.

The provided seminars will be adapted to the organization’s customers and will both include examples and a test to assess the participants’ learning.

Intermediate training Course

Duration : 4 hours
Maximum occupancy per seminar : 10

This seminar is aimed at people tasked with responsibilities in regards to maritime security

Target audience : Supervisor, superintendents, security officers, operators within restricted areas, management, IT managers, etc.

The Intermediate Training Course covers the following points :
  • Introduction
  • MARSEC Levels
  • Awareness and communication
  • Behavior of people at risk of threatening security
  • Emergency measures plan and maritime security
  • Access control – Restricted areas
  • Role of key agents in maritime security
  • History
  • Responsabilities

Maritime Facility Officer Training Course (MFSO - PFSO)

Duration : 8 hours
Maximum occupancy per seminar : 6

This seminar is aimed at people in charge of the application of the security plan and/or procedure in regards to maritime security.

Target audience : Director, lead security managers, upper management, superintendent, etc.

The MFSO Training Course covers the following points :

Internal Safety Audit

The audit enables the validation of the safety plan against what is truly in place. It measures gaps and allows the screener to apply the necessary corrections in order to stay compliant.

Security Exercises

This exercise is aimed at people in charge of the application of the security plan and/or procedures in regards to maritime security.

Plan - Security Procedure

Regulation requires that a security plan be put into action if the interface receives more than 10 international ships per year. If less than 10 ships are received, a security procedure must be approved by Transport Canada in order to operate.
